Prostate Cancer Medications and their Risks – A Discussion with Dr. David Samadi on Fox News
Dr. David Samadi discusses new warnings issued by the FDA for certain prostate cancer medications as well as what screenings men should get before they start a treatment plan. These medications can cause diabetes, heart attack, stroke and even sudden death. The medications lower testosterone which causes symptoms in men similar to menopause. It’s important for patients with risk factors, such as age, to talk to their doctor, especially if the medications are being used with radiation or if the cancer has spread to bone.
